There is more food available per person than there ever has been in literally the entire history of humanity. (If you want a source for this, read the Food & Agriculture Organization’s 2002 report World Agriculture) Even the United Nations acknowledges that the volume of food produced can’t explain poverty and malnourishment. Which means it’s not how food is produced, but how it’s distributed and who is in control of its distribution.

This is the clearest lake in the world. And a very fine lake it is. Klaus Thymann captured this and other stunning photos of New Zealand’s Blue Lake, 95% as clear as distilled water. Its source is filtered by mountain rocks and it’s above the treeline, so it misses out on most runoff.
